A Walk with Autism (Dummy book)

I created this dummy book as part of my university degree where I had to write an essay and create something from the information gathers. I decided to base mine on the study of how art can support those with sensory needs such as overstimulation. Based on my research I created a dummy book ment to help children and perents navigate and understand what it is like to be overstimulated. I display this on the finished pages by keeping the colours to a minimum. by painting non stimulating areas a cool blue it allows me to draw the viewers attention to what is causing the stimulation by fully colouring it with vibrant watercolours.
This book was created in a concertina format to be read in pages and stretched out across a table or ground for stimulating fun.
